First timer or long-standing conference attendee, voting or non-voting member or an external observer - conference has something for everyone - days' worth of lively policy debate, fantastic networking opportunities and a wide variety of exciting fringe events.
Members
Democrats by name, democratic by nature. Every party member has the right to participate in conference. You can take part in one of four ways:
Voting representative: Elected by your local party, voting reps receive full conference documentation, speaking and voting rights. Only elected voting reps can vote in debates and sign motions submitted to conference.
Non-voting representative: Register for the whole conference and you will receive full conference documentation and have the chance to speak in debates, just like elected reps.
Substitute for a voting representative: If you're registered as a non-voting rep, your local party executive has the power to appoint you as a substitute for a voting rep who is unable to attend.
Day visitor: Just want a taste of conference? Day passes are available on-site, although they don't entitle visitors to speak or vote and conference documentation isn't included.
You can either register online (members only) or download the appropriate registration form and post it to us. Note that some pass categories such as claimants must send a hard-copy form as we require proof of your claimant status, at the time of conference, with your application.
Attending conference for the first time?As an incentive to encourage new conference-goers, a special rate of £63 is available to party members attending Liverpool as their first Liberal Democrat conference. This is not cumulative with any other discount and is subject to confirmation of first-timer status. Please see the first timer's guide for more information on how to make the most of your conference experience!

The Liberal Democrats' party conference is an invaluable opportunity for non-members.
